The Kernel Tilmicosin ELISA Test Kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of Tilmicosin in bran mash, egg, honey, pork, chicken, milk and urine. 

Tilmicosin is a macrolide antibiotic sold for oral and injectable use. It is widely used in animal breeding, and can also be used as a feed additive to promote growth in livestock. If proper withdrawal time is not allowed, meat and milk can be contaminated with Tilmicosin residues. High levels of Tilmicosin residue can also be due to poor clearance of the drug in cases of liver or kidney dysfunction or excessive dosing. The use of Tilmicosin as a feed additive was banned by EU legislation in 1999 (council regulation n. 2821/98), but Tilmicosin is still used as a feed additive in the USA and many other countries.
