Indirect ELISA kit for the detection of anti-Sarcoptes scabiei var. suis antibodies in porcine serum.

The sarcoptic mite Sarcoptes scabiei var. suis is the most significant ectoparasite in swine. Infections of Sarcoptes mites are often sub-clinical or chronic in nature and are generally not detected by traditional diagnostic methods (direct detection of sarcoptic mites). Particularly in optimal housing and feeding conditions, and in herds of healthy  animals, Kernel® Mange ELISA is the method of choice for detection of subclinical Sarcoptes infections and for monitoring the stock’s status as free of Sarcoptes mites.
